866 Redwood Avenue was the home of Martin and Anastazia Bobowsky family and their children Olga, Paul and Angela, in 1916 – 17. Their son William Peter (Bill) was almost certainly born in this house on July 14, 1916.
Although there are no Winnipeg Directory listings showing the Bobowsky family at this address they were enumerated living here in the 1916 Census of the Prairie Provinces taken in June.
The 1921 census shows a 3 room detached wooden house at this address. According to recent property listings the house currently at this address was built in 1910, so is the same house the Bobowsky family lived in. Today it is a two bedroom, 650 square foot home with a basement.
Circa 1917 the family moved to Flora Avenue.
