Angela (Nellie) Bobbs lived in a rooming house in The Beaches at this address from about 1945 until she married in early 1946. Her move to Rainsford Road seems to have coincided with Angela’s job change from Pasquale d’Angelo Studio near Avenue Road to Danforth Studio at Jones and Danforth.
33 Rainsford was also close to Wilkie’s Cigar Store (and off-site betting establishment) which was owned by the brother of Angela’s fiance, Doug Harrison.
The house at Rainford Road, which is still there today, is described as a 2 storey semi-detached house.
