Velykyi Hovyliv, which translates into English as Big Cattle, is located on the Taina River about 150 km south west of Lviv in western Ukraine. Husiatyn (Husyatyn) is a town located 45 km southwest of Velkyiv Hovyliv. The meaning of the word “Bec” is unknown.
