Anastazia Kondratiuk lived in the Lyndale Apartments, Unit 6, at the corner of Markham and Harbord Streets, from about 1942 until her death in the summer of 1946. Her youngest daughter Alice Bobowsky lived with Anastazia until her death and stayed in the apartment after her mother died. Alice married Frank Ilnicki Martin circa 1951 and the couple continued to live at 501 Markham until about 1953. Angela Bobowsky (Nellie Bobbs) lived here with Anastazia and Alice from 1942 until1944.
501 Markham Street, located at the corner of Harbord, was known as the Lyndale Apartments. It was a large, detached, three storey building that contained six apartments and occupied the entire 24×90 foot corner lot.
