Brookside Cemetery located on the northern boundary of Winnipeg airport is the largest cemetery in western Canada. Martin Bobowsky was buried here on December 30, 1957 (cemetery reference BO#14932, Plot 26-0740-0). The headstone for this plot clearly identifies Martin Bobowsky b. 11 Nov 1880. However the Brookside Cemetery records indicate this plot is occupied by Michael Bobowski. Martin went by the name Mike in his later years.
According to an entry Martin made in the family bible his nephew, Eugene Romanowsky, was also buried in Brookside Cemetery on May 21, 1929 (Section 54, Lot 83). However the online cemetery records do no have an entry for Eugene.
