The 1940 Canadian federal election was held on March 26, 1940. The voters list would have been compiled in late February or early March.

The Liberal party under William Lyon MacKenzie King won a majority with 179 seats in parliament. It is not likely that either Anastazia or Angela Bobbs voted liberal.
